Arc Games and Chief Rebel have officially announced that Fellowship, the first-ever “multiplayer online dungeon adventure” (MODA), will launch into Early Access on Steam starting October 9, 2025, for $24.99. The announcement was made during this year’s Future Games Show at Gamescom, accompanied by a brand-new trailer that teases dungeon-diving chaos and epic loot.
Early Access Details
Fellowship is the debut title from Chief Rebel, a new studio founded by industry veterans who’ve worked on World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, Helldivers 2, Battlefield, Just Cause, and more.
The Early Access launch will be focused entirely on the team’s vision of “all dungeons, all the time.” Players will dive straight into endlessly scaling dungeon runs with no prerequisites or barriers to entry. Whether tackling a quick 15-minute casual dungeon or competing in Ranked runs with modifiers and leaderboards, Fellowship is designed to give the thrill of endgame dungeon-crawling right from the start.
Chief Rebel notes that Early Access will last roughly six months, with ongoing updates shaped by community feedback. Cosmetic microtransactions are planned, but the studio emphasized that all purchasable items will be strictly cosmetic and will not impact gameplay.
Open Beta in September
Before Early Access goes live, Fellowship will hold an Open Beta on Steam from September 18–23. Servers will be available in North America, Europe, and Asia, and players will be able to try out:
- Seven playable heroes, including Mara, a newly revealed DPS character.
- Ranked & Quick Play dungeons, catering to both casual and competitive playstyles.
- A brand-new dungeon, Urrak Markets, debuting for the first time.
- An overhauled progression system with Weapons, Gems, Talents, Crafting, and Legendary items.
- Cosmetic customization for armor, alongside new gear, mounts, and visual improvements.
This playtest also includes matchmaking refinements, giving Chief Rebel one last chance to test multiplayer systems and gather feedback before launch.
What is a MODA?
Billed as the world’s first “Multiplayer Online Dungeon Adventure,” Fellowship blends fan-favorite elements from MMOs, MOBAs, and ARPGs. The result is a co-op PvE dungeon crawler that emphasizes teamwork, challenge, and replayability.
Key Features
- Four-Player Co-op Multiplayer – Build your squad with tanks, healers, and DPS to take on bosses together.
- Endless Dungeon Scaling – Runs become tougher and more rewarding as difficulty and modifiers stack.
- Unique Boss Encounters – Each boss introduces mechanics that evolve with higher difficulties.
- Epic Loot and Progression – Gather weapons, charms, gems, and gear to craft powerful builds.
- Leaderboards & Competition – Test your skills in Ranked mode and climb the charts against other teams.
Unlike traditional MMOs, Fellowship removes the grind and lets players jump directly into endgame-style dungeon content from the start.
Looking Ahead
Chief Rebel plans to roll out additional heroes, dungeons, features, and seasonal updates throughout Early Access. By incorporating community feedback, the team aims to refine the MODA genre into something distinct and sustainable ahead of the game’s full 1.0 launch in 2026.
With its veteran pedigree and dungeon-first approach, Fellowship looks to carve out a unique space in the crowded multiplayer landscape one boss fight at a time.
