Dune: Awakening Chapter 2 and The Lost Harvest DLC Launch September 10

Funcom took the stage during the Into the Infinite showcase at Gamescom 2025 to reveal a massive wave of new content for Dune: Awakening, its open-world survival crafting game. On September 10, 2025, players will be able to continue the main story in Chapter 2, dive into the brand-new standalone DLC The Lost Harvest, and explore even more of Arrakis through additional world content and contracts.

Chapter 2 – A Free Update to the Main Story

The free Chapter 2 update picks up where the base game’s story left off, following the cliffhanger ending that left players with burning questions about the Imperium’s secrets. This continuation introduces new and returning characters, fresh locations, and deeper narrative threads that uncover hidden corners of the empire. Beyond the story expansion, Chapter 2 brings new contracts, dynamic encounters, items, and activities. Players will also gain access to expanded character customization, including new hairstyles and a long-requested character re-customization feature.

The Lost Harvest DLC – A Standalone Adventure

Launching alongside Chapter 2 is The Lost Harvest, a premium DLC priced at $12.99. This new storyline begins after a Miner’s Guild spice harvester crashes, carrying a mysterious cargo. It’s up to players to uncover what’s inside and determine its fate.

The DLC also introduces new cosmetics, including the first-ever cosmetic vehicle, the Treadwheel, complete with unique animations. Additional content includes the Dune Man building set, new armor and weapon skins, decorations, and more. While cosmetic, all items must still be crafted in-game. The Lost Harvest is included in the Season Pass ($24.99) and comes bundled with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Dune: Awakening.
