Update on Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion
Alongside this announcement, XSEED confirmed a delay for the next mainline entry, Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion. Originally expected in 2025, it will now launch globally in 2026 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and newly added PS5. The delay will give developer MAGES. time to polish its new perspective-shifting gameplay and ensure the game lives up to the series’ horror legacy.
A Legacy of Horror
First released as a PC freeware title in 1996 before evolving into a cult franchise, Corpse Party is known for its disturbing atmosphere, layered storytelling, and gruesome fates.
