Enhance has dropped a surprise demo for its highly anticipated puzzle game Lumines Arise, now live on PlayStation 5 and Steam. Available from August 26 through September 3, 2025, the demo gives players a first taste of both the single-player Journey Mode and the all-new Burst Battle multiplayer mode, shown publicly for the first time.
The single-player portion features three vibrant stages, while Burst Battle introduces a competitive twist, letting players unleash the new Burst mechanic to overwhelm opponents with screen-filling combos. Cross-platform multiplayer is supported during the demo, giving fans the chance to battle across PC and PlayStation.
Full Release Set for November 11
Alongside the demo, Enhance confirmed that Lumines Arise will officially launch on November 11, for PS5 and Steam, with additional platforms to be revealed later. The game blends the series’ classic block-matching puzzle gameplay with a dazzling audiovisual experience powered by acclaimed composer Hydelic, who debuted a new soundtrack single, Dreamland, to celebrate the news.
Pre-orders are now live on the PlayStation Store for both the Standard Edition ($39.99) and Digital Deluxe Edition ($44.99). PS Plus members can also enjoy an exclusive 10% pre-order discount. The Steam edition will release on launch day, with Digital Deluxe content details to be shared closer to release.
Deluxe Edition Bonuses and Astro Bot Cameo
The Lumines Arise Digital Deluxe Edition includes exclusive Loomii Avatars and name plates themed after Enhance titles like Rez Infinite, Humanity, and Tetris Effect: Connected. On PS5, players will also gain access to a special Astro Bot Loomii Avatar, bringing the PlayStation icon into the world of Lumines for the first time.
A Reinvention of a Puzzle Classic
Lumines Arise reimagines the legendary puzzle series for a new generation, offering over 35 single-player stages, multiple challenge modes, online multiplayer, optional VR support, and 4K visuals. Its signature gameplay sees players drop 2×2 blocks of dual-colored squares, clearing them to the beat of the music as the Timeline sweeps across the field.
The new Burst mechanic allows players to delay clears and stack massive combos, adding another layer of strategy to both solo play and competitive battles. With its mix of hypnotic music, addictive gameplay, and vibrant visuals, Lumines Arise aims to be the definitive evolution of the series.
