The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Tokyo Game Show Trailer Showcases Time-Traveling Action RPG

Square Enix has revealed a new look at The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales during Tokyo Game Show, giving players a deeper glimpse at its time-traveling narrative, real-time combat, and HD-2D presentation.

A Journey Through Time and Conflict

The trailer introduces Filibildia, a land where beast tribes wage constant battles while humans live in isolation. The story centers on Elliot, a young adventurer who sets out on a journey across centuries, supported by companions like Fay, a fairy guide. The tone mixes grand adventure with themes of hope, loss, and discovery, as the player explores ruins and encounters dangers tied to shifting timelines.

Real-Time Combat and Customization

Unlike Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default, The Adventures of Elliot uses a real-time combat system rather than turn-based battles. The trailer teases large-scale fights against beast tribes and magical enemies, with hints at deep customization for both characters and equipment.

Expansive Exploration

Filibildia’s environments range from ancient ruins hidden in beast territory to vast battlefields and human settlements. The trailer highlights sweeping landscapes, atmospheric towns, and mysterious structures that seem tied to the game’s time-travel mechanics.
