Publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games have officially dropped the first public demo for Marvel Cosmic Invasion as part of Steam Next Fest. Fans can now get hands-on with the arcade-style tag-team beat ‘em up ahead of its launch later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox.
What’s in the Demo
The Steam Next Fest demo delivers a taste of the game’s high-energy action:
- Two playable levels: Battle through the streets of New York City and clash on the Helicarrier.
- Nine heroes to choose from: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, She-Hulk, Captain America, Venom, Rocket Raccoon, Nova, and Phyla-Vell.
- Co-op ready: Team up locally or online to double the destruction.
- Steam Deck support: Take the action anywhere, fully optimized for portable play.
Tag-Team Superhero Showdowns
At the core of Marvel Cosmic Invasion is the Cosmic Swap system, letting players control a duo of heroes and tag between them mid-fight. Swapping unleashes devastating combos and unique team synergies, making each fight a chance to experiment with iconic pairings.
A Galaxy Under Siege
The story sees Annihilus, the immortal villain, launch an all-out galactic assault that threatens the Marvel universe. Heroes from across eras must unite to stand against the invasion in an adventure that celebrates the golden age of MARVEL comics, cartoons, and games.
With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge under their belts, Dotemu and Tribute Games are once again aiming to modernize the beat ‘em up genre—this time with MARVEL’s most legendary heroes.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion launches later this year. The demo is available now on Steam.
