Sacred 2 Remaster Developer Video Reveals How the Classic Action RPG Was Reborn

THQ Nordic has released a brand-new developer video for Sacred 2 Remaster, giving fans a look behind the curtain of one of action RPG history’s most beloved worlds. The video features Franz Stradal, one of the original creators of the Sacred franchise, reflecting on the game’s enduring legacy, its complete technical overhaul, and what players can expect from this modernized edition launching next week.

Built on a rebuilt engine with enhanced visuals, a modern UI, and countless quality-of-life upgrades, Sacred 2 Remaster brings the series’ signature humor, chaos, and deep character progression to a new generation of players while keeping the charm and spirit that defined the 2008 original.

Blind Guardian Returns to Ancaria

Fans of the original Sacred 2 will be thrilled to hear that Blind Guardian, the legendary German metal band, also returns for the remaster. Their iconic song “Sacred Worlds” once again serves as a rallying anthem for players exploring the lands of Ancaria, blending high fantasy with headbanging energy.

Stradal describes the remaster as both a revival and a new beginning for the franchise:

“It’s not the end, it’s just the beginning. We have so much more planned for Ancaria’s future, and there are still countless stories waiting to be told.”
