Embark Studios has announced The North Line, the first major content update for Arc Raiders, going live November 13 at 10:30 a.m. CET on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. The update is free for all players and adds a new region, new ARC threats, community-driven objectives, and a set of gameplay enhancements.
Following the game’s strong debut, recently surpassing 700,000 concurrent players, The North Line marks the start of a new phase for Raiders across the Rust Belt.
Explore Stella Montis, a Frozen Frontier
At the heart of the update lies Stella Montis, a new map set north of the Rust Belt. Unlike the decaying industrial ruins of earlier zones, Stella Montis features intact, sterile architecture that conceals humanity’s forgotten experiments. Raiders will scavenge rare materials, blueprint data, and gear from its silent halls, piecing together the secrets behind Earth’s failed reach for the stars.
Access to the area must be unlocked globally through a new event, meaning the entire community must work together to open the tunnels leading into Stella Montis.
Breaking New Ground: The First Community Unlock Event
Launching alongside the update, the Breaking New Ground event challenges Raiders to contribute resources to reconnect the tunnels to Stella Montis. Progress in this multi-phase event determines when the new region becomes playable.
Players will earn Merits, a new event currency, for contributing materials. These unlock limited-time rewards and fuel the Phase II: Staking Our Claim progression track, available through December.
New ARC Enemies and Gear
Two new ARC enemies join the battlefield:
- Matriarch – A massive, heavily armored ARC that appears under special conditions in existing zones.
- Shredder – A close-quarters threat exclusive to Stella Montis, debuting once the new map opens.
Raiders can now equip the Aphelion Rifle, Trailblazer Grenade, Seeker Grenade, and new Mines (Pulse, Deadline, and Gas) to expand combat strategies. The update also adds new quests themed around Stella Montis and its mysteries.
What’s Next for ARC Raiders
Embark confirmed that The North Line is the first of several major updates. The next expansion, Cold Snap, arrives in December, adding the Flickering Flames event, a new snowfall map condition, and the long-awaited Expedition Project Raider reset.
