Spike Chunsoft has announced that No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files will release in North America and Europe on February 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S. Originally launched earlier this year for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, this console debut marks the next step for the acclaimed detective adventure series.
Coming to PlayStation and Xbox with a New Mystery
Following the success of AI: The Somnium Files and AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative, the latest entry once again places players in the shoes of Special Agent Kaname Date, who reunites with his trusty AI partner Aiba. After the infamous New Cyclops Serial Killings are put to rest, Date is pulled into another bizarre and dangerous investigation when internet idol Iris Sagan (A-set) is abducted by a UFO and forced into a mysterious “Third Eye Game.”
A strange coffin-shaped device appears in the city, bearing the note, “Psync me.” It’s up to Date and Aiba to unravel the truth behind the alien abduction, the deadly game, and the secrets connecting them.
Enhanced Gameplay and the New “Escape” System
Just like its predecessors, No Sleep For Kaname Date combines sharp storytelling with investigative gameplay across three primary sections — Investigation, Somnium, and now, the brand-new Escape mode.
- Investigation sections let players explore crime scenes and gather testimony.
- Somnium dives deep into the dreams of suspects and witnesses.
- Escape, the newest addition, challenges players to solve complex puzzles and break out of locked rooms to advance the case.

Physical Edition and Pre-Orders
Fans can grab the PlayStation 5 physical edition beginning November 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time through the Spike Chunsoft Official Store. The No Sleep For Kaname Date PS5 Tote Bag Bundle will also be available, including a physical copy of the game and a themed tote bag for $64.99.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be available exclusively as digital downloads, with PlayStation Store wishlisting live now and Xbox digital pre-orders coming soon.
