Reanimal Locks In Friday the 13th Launch With New Console Demos Available Now

THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios, the team behind Little Nightmares I & II, have confirmed that their next horror experience, Reanimal, will officially launch worldwide on Friday, February 13, 2026. The game launches simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing a brand-new, grotesque world of masks, shadows, and hunted children to players everywhere.

Pre-orders are now live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, granting early purchasers the Foxhead & Muttonhead Masks, special cosmetic items ideally suited to a world where covering your face may be the only way to survive unspeakable horrors.

Console Demos Out Today, with More Platforms on the Way

Alongside the date reveal, THQ Nordic released brand-new console demos on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to get hands-on with the opening chapter of REANIMAL. The PC demo on Steam is still available, continuing to introduce players to the game’s tense, cooperative design.

Demo and pre-order options for the Nintendo Switch 2 are coming soon, with details expected in the near future.

A First Look at Reanimal’s Nightmare World

The playable demo picks up at the start of the story, reuniting two orphaned siblings, The Boy and The Girl, as they try to survive in a world twisted by predatory forces and haunted by abandoned nightmares. Their search for missing friends leads them through early-game locations such as the Mill and the Trainyard, both filled with hints of the larger mysteries and monstrous threat that stalk them.

As with Little Nightmares, Reanimal focuses heavily on atmospheric storytelling, co-op tension, and environmental dread, though this time, with multiplayer systems woven directly into the narrative and puzzle design.
