Arc System Works has announced that Season 4 content for Guilty Gear Strive Nintendo Switch Edition will officially arrive on December 18, 2025, expanding the portable roster with new fighters, fresh crossover energy, and long-requested features.
The Switch version, already stocked with 28 characters across Seasons 1–3, will be pushed further into parity with other platforms thanks to the next wave of DLC fighters and the launch of the long-awaited Ranked Match mode.
Four New Season 4 Fighters Join the Roster
Season 4 continues Strive’s run of wild character additions, both familiar and unexpected. On Switch, players can look forward to:
Available Now
- Queen Dizzy – The returning fan-favorite who headlines Season 4.
Coming December 18
- Venom – The cue-slinging assassin returns with technical setups and charged projectiles.
- Unika – Making the jump from the anime Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers into full playable form.
- Lucy – A surprise crossover from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, bringing quick movement and cybernetic flair to Strive’s stylish combat.
This lineup cements Season 4 as one of the most eclectic DLC updates in Guilty Gear history, bridging lore, multimedia expansions, and external collaborations.
Ranked Match Finally Comes to Switch
Along with the new characters, the December 18 update introduces Ranked Match to the Switch version. This essential feature brings competitive online play closer to the experience seen on PlayStation and PC.
Players can now climb the ladder, fight through the ranks, and test their mains against the wider online community, all from handheld or docked play.
Arc System Works Launches Black Friday Sale
The update arrives just in time for Arc System Works’ newly announced Black Friday Sale, which discounts a number of the studio’s biggest fighting titles across Steam, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
Featured games include:
- Guilty Gear Strive
- BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
- UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II: Sys: Celes

It’s an ideal moment for newcomers to jump in or for fans to expand their libraries ahead of Strive’s latest content drop.
