Nacon and Spiders have released a brand-new video spotlighting the companions players will encounter in GreedFall: The Dying World, offering a closer look at the characters who can fight, argue, and even fall in love alongside you. Currently available in Early Access on Steam, the narrative-driven RPG launches in its definitive form on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in March 2026.
The new video introduces the game’s eight companions and their voice actors, emphasizing how deeply relationships are woven into both the combat and storytelling experience.
Companions at the Heart of Combat and Story
Throughout the adventure, players can recruit up to eight companions—assuming they survive and choose to remain by the protagonist’s side. Each companion plays a vital role in battle and can be directly controlled during combat. Their unique skill trees reflect their origins, ideologies, and specialties, allowing players to tailor their parties to different playstyles and tactical needs.
Outside of combat, companions are equally important to the narrative. Each character has a dedicated personal quest that explores their past, motivations, and internal conflicts. How players respond during these moments shapes relationships that can grow into friendships, turn into rivalries, or develop into romance.
The Eight Companions of GreedFall: The Dying World
The companion roster spans multiple factions and ideologies, reflecting the fractured world of Teer Fradee.
Alvida, voiced by Tracy Ifeachor (Starfield, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor), is a rebellious member of the Naut guild, driven by strong ideals and an unshakable moral compass.
Fausta, voiced by Genevieve Gaunt, is a spy from Thélème who balances noble lineage with discretion and diplomatic finesse.
Ludwig, voiced by Sam Woolf (The Witcher, Season 3), is a former Deutan Empire soldier turned smuggler whose sarcasm and bitterness mask deep resentment toward systemic injustice.
Nílan, voiced by Atilla Akinci, is the protagonist’s childhood friend and a native of Teer Fradee, beginning his initiation to become a Doneigad—a sage tasked with preserving his people’s knowledge.
Safia, voiced by Jacqueline Boatswain, is an anti-imperialist explorer aligned with the Bridge Alliance, known for her curiosity and expertise with firearms.
Sheda, voiced by Jess Nesling, is a fierce Teer Fradee warrior and longtime ally who acts as a protector, willing to sacrifice herself for others.
hails from an influential Merchant Congregation family and brings political savvy, guarded trust, and fierce loyalty.
Till, voiced by Dario Coates (You, Dying Light: The Beast, Metaphor ReFantazio), is a former Coin Guard captain seeking redemption, specializing in defense and battlefield protection.
Choice, Consequence, and Connection
Set in a world ravaged by war and political intrigue, GreedFall: The Dying World places players in the role of a native of Teer Fradee torn from their homeland. Staying true to the RPG foundations of the original GreedFall, the sequel emphasizes player agency not just through quests and combat decisions, but through the bonds formed with companions.
These relationships are not static. Allies can become trusted friends, bitter rivals, or even soulmates, with every choice shaping the course of the journey and the fate of those who walk it with you.
