Nexon has announced Embers of the Uncrowned, a new dark fantasy MMORPG for PC, and the game is now available to wishlist on Steam. Alongside the announcement, Nexon released the game’s first cinematic trailer, offering an early look at its violent fantasy setting and the tone it aims for.
Set in a dark fantasy world viewed from an isometric perspective, Embers of the Uncrowned follows a hero’s journey to rebuild a noble house destroyed by elves and reclaim land once held by humanity.
First Trailer Introduces Its Dark Fantasy World
The debut cinematic trailer centers on Bella, a mysterious elf who appears in the ruins of a village and confronts a group of knights. The trailer leans hard into the game’s darker style, showing Bella killing the knights in a brutal sequence before leaving behind a single phoenix signet ring.
That first look focuses more on atmosphere than on gameplay, but it does establish the game’s world as one built around grotesque creatures, ruined settlements, and a heavier fantasy tone.
Tactical Combat and Multiple Classes
According to Nexon, Embers of the Uncrowned will feature tactical combat that goes beyond simple hack-and-slash action. Players will recruit companions and choose from classes such as the Spectral Blade, Executioner, and Stormbringer, each built around different approaches to battle.
The game will also include co-op fights against Domain Bosses, while larger Raids are planned as endgame-style encounters that require coordination and team strategy.
Settlement Building and House Harborwell Progression
Outside of combat, Embers of the Uncrowned will also include territory and settlement progression tied to House Harborwell. As players gain influence and push farther into the world, they will gradually expand their domain from a small camp into a larger city.
Nexon says the game will also offer character customization through various costumes and appearance options, allowing players to shape a more personalized look as they build out their role in the world.
Wishlist Available Now on Steam
Embers of the Uncrowned is now available to wishlist on Steam for PC. Nexon has not announced a release date yet, but the first reveal makes clear this is one of the company’s next big fantasy projects.
