4A Games has surfaced with ARKTIKA.1, a new VR first-person shooter designed for the Oculus Touch set for release in Q2 2017.
A debut trailer showcases the post-apocalyptic world setting, filled with raiders, marauders, and strange creatures.
After a silent apocalypse, the world has plunged into a new ice age where pockets of humanity still cling to existence. The resource-rich territories to the north and south are points of interest and it’s up to the player to protect the colony in the wastelands of Old Russia.
“At 4A Games, we pride ourselves on our ability to make immersive experiences, so creating ARKTIKA.1, a big, atmospheric VR shooter made a lot of sense,” said Andriy Prokhorov, co-founder and creative director at 4A Games.
