Action-RPG ‘The Swords of Ditto’ To Be Released April 24th

The Swords of Ditto, a “compact” action-RPG with a heartwarming cartoon look, has had its release date announced for April 24th, landing on PC & PS4. With an aesthetic of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past meets Steven Universe, The Swords of Ditto takes players, in single player or co-op, into a dangerous overworld complete with complete-in-any-order dungeons & sidequests. Naturally, there’s going to be a lot of gear to collect and equip, but in Ditto that includes vinyl record frisbees, and a colossal foot.

In the game, players are heros, and it sounds like potentially a lot of heroes depending on how well you avoid death. The developer, One Bit Beyond, touts the game’s unique linking of adventures, saying “each adventure becomes its own legend, both distinct from those that came before it and part of a heroic legacy that bind together. The deeds, successes, and failures of each hero’s adventure have implications for those that follow including the ability to find weapons and recover loot from history’s fallen heroes.”

Gameplay looks well polished, and if the trailer is any indication, it sounds fun and upbeat as well. As mentioned the game lands April 24th, make sure to check out the latest trailer below. Publisher Devolver Digital has also posted an extended gameplay video on their YouTube.
