HoYoverse is turning up the volume with Version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero, “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,” launching June 6 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android. The massive update marks the start of Season 2, introduces the all-new Waifei Peninsula, and celebrates the game’s first anniversary with free S-Rank rewards and more.
Explore the Waifei Peninsula and Master the Suibian Temple
Season 2 transports Proxies to the vibrant Waifei Peninsula, a new district in New Eridu teeming with mystery and opportunity. Failume Heights, the region’s main city, is bustling with tea houses and pawnshops—and also serves as home to the Suibian Temple. As part of the update, players will manage this temple by dispatching Bangboos, completing commissions, and gathering Hollow resources to earn rewards.
The Lemnian Hollow also makes its debut, introducing tougher enemies empowered by the Miasmic Field. This hazard boosts enemy shields and abilities, demanding sharper strategy and stronger Agents.
New Agents Join the Fray, Including the Grandmaster Herself
Joining the playable roster are several new faces from the Yunkui Summit faction:
- Yixuan (S-Rank Auric Ink/Rupture): The Grandmaster enters the battlefield with a unique mechanic called Adrenaline and two distinct Ultimate modes.
- Ju Fufu (S-Rank Fire Stun): This high-damage disciple brings a blend of Fire and Physical attacks with a teamwide CRIT DMG buff via her Chain Attack.
- Pan Yinhu (A-Rank Physical Defense): A panda chef turned tank, she’s a brick wall in battle with unexpected culinary flair.
- Belion (S-Rank Bangboo): Rounding out the new characters is a fearsome Bangboo to bring extra bite to your loadout.
Fan-favorites Astra Yao and Caesar also return in the Version 2.0 banners.
Revamped Gameplay and Events Bring More to Do Than Ever
Beyond the narrative and roster expansion, Version 2.0 introduces several systems and quality-of-life upgrades:
- Hollow Zero: Lost Void gets new commissions and lets players equip multiple Gears to Agents.
- Cinematic hangouts via the Gravitational Attraction event reward players with an A-Rank W-Engine.
- Soul of Steel: Golden Bond lets you pilot mechs in combat challenges for high-tier loot.
- A new 3D map system, navigation improvements, and Fissure Beacons make traversal smoother than ever.
Players who’ve completed Season 1 Chapter 2 Interlude can dive into Season 2 immediately.
