During The Game Awards 2025, Osaka-based GPTRACK50 Inc., a NetEase studio led by longtime Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi, unveiled its debut project: Stupid Never Dies, a stylish new 3D action RPG coming in 2026. The reveal marked the first public look at the game, backed by a development team with credits across Devil May Cry, Dragon’s Dogma, and Resident Evil.
A visually striking music-video-style teaser trailer introduced the game’s tone: loud, energetic, and dripping with attitude. It also showcased the story’s unlikely pair of heroes, Davy, a zombie with personality, and Julia, the human heroine who fights alongside him.
A Punk-Powered Introduction to Davy and Julia
Rather than stick to a standard gameplay teaser, GPTRACK50 leaned into its bold concept by presenting the reveal as a high-energy audiovisual music sequence. The trailer features Davy and Julia performing to the game’s pop-punk theme song, offering an early look at their chemistry and the playful tone that defines Stupid Never Dies.
The stylish reveal establishes the world as one where vibrancy, attitude, and emotional expression sit alongside monsters, magic, and high-speed combat.

A New Breed of Action RPG Featuring “Blazing Fast Growth”
GPTRACK50 describes Stupid Never Dies as a fresh take on the Action RPG genre, built around a system they call “Blazing Fast Growth.” While exact mechanics remain under wraps, the name suggests rapid, aggressive character progression meant to keep battles dynamic and evolving.
Davy won’t be alone in this alternate world; he’ll be joined by a cast of unique allies who support him on a monster-filled journey. The enemy lineup includes:
- Werewolves
- Lizardmen
- Skeleton warriors
- And more iconic fantasy adversaries
The studio’s pedigree hints at fast, combo-driven action and expressive combat, while the RPG framing suggests deeper progression and party systems.
More Details Coming Soon
GPTRACK50 notes that further updates, including gameplay systems, narrative details, and a deeper look at Davy and Julia, will arrive in the future. For now, the studio has made the game’s Steam page live for fans ready to wishlist the title early.
