Dotemu and Old Skull Games have revealed the first gameplay for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, a single-player stealth-action platformer launching in 2027 for PC and consoles.
The standalone game lets players take on the role of Vihneek, a Skaven assassin working his way through the fractured depths of the Gnaw.
Play as a Skaven Assassin
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster puts players inside Skaven society, rather than fighting against it from the outside.
As an Eshin assassin, Vihneek must move through tunnels, hostile clans, corruption, and warpstone-fueled instability. Each clan territory will bring its own threats, patterns, and openings to exploit.
Stealth, Speed, and Bloodshed
Deathmaster focuses on 2D stealth-action platforming with simple controls built around timing, movement, and lethal strikes.
Players can observe enemies, track behavior, use heightened senses, and take out targets without being seen. Mistakes can turn deadly fast, fitting the Skaven’s brutal and paranoid culture.
Warpstone Powers Progression
Vihneek can gather warpstone to open new abilities, upgrade gear, and gain secret tools.
Those upgrades give players more ways to hunt, adapt, and handle each contract. The game also pushes experimentation through Skaven instincts and cunning rather than direct heroism.
Climb the Eshin Ranks
The goal is to complete contracts for the Eshin Clan and rise toward the title of Deathmaster.
That climb comes with danger, as Skaven power rarely comes without betrayal, cost, or consequences.
