Mindscape and Aesir Interactive have released The Legend of Khiimori Corruption Update, the game’s biggest Early Access expansion so far.
The update is available now on Steam and the Epic Games Store, adding corrupted land, new survival systems, more crafting, and the Breton draft horse.
Corruption Comes to 13th-Century Mongolia
The Legend of Khiimori casts players as a courier rider crossing a version of 13th-century Mongolia inspired by history and mythology.
With the Corruption Update, a force called Savdag-un khor, or poison of the earth spirit, has started spreading across the land. It creates corrupted rifts, changes the environment, and brings hostile creatures such as Knots and Gnarls into play.
New Tools for Fighting Back
Players can now craft items made to push back against the corruption.
Cleansing Arrows and Warding Totems help clear corrupted areas, while Gnarls add more direct combat pressure by attacking along corruption strands.
The update also expands survival by adding hunger and thirst management, along with new consumables and recipes for the player and their horse.
Breton Horses Join the Stable
The Corruption Update adds the Breton, the largest and strongest horse breed in The Legend of Khiimori so far.
The new draft horse gives players another option for courier missions, exploration, and survival across the game’s harsh terrain.
Mindscape says the update also includes gameplay changes and fixes, with full patch notes available through the game’s Steam post.
