Arc Games and Magic Design Studios have announced Nautus, a quirky island adventure coming to Steam Early Access in 2027.
The new game comes from the studio behind Have a Nice Death and Unruly Heroes, with an announcement trailer available now.
A Strange Island Mystery
Nautus begins when players arrive at the remote N.A.U.T.U.S. research station after receiving a troubling radio message from their uncle, Bernard Torpedo.
Once there, they find that the station’s scientists have lost their memories and become terrified of the ocean. With nobody else willing to head below the surface, players must use an upgradable submarine to search for answers.
Dangerous Below the Surface
The underwater side of Nautus sends players into trenches, coral reefs, and sunken pirate shipwrecks.
Players will face mutant marine life, capture bizarre creatures, recover artifact stones, and gather rare materials. Those materials can then be used to craft submarine upgrades, gear, and machinery.
Cozy Life Above Water
Back on the island, players can build, rest, and help the locals.
Quests will focus on restoring the scientists’ memories, while resource management and outpost upgrades help prepare for the next submarine run.
Steam Early Access Set for 2027
Nautus will launch in Steam Early Access in 2027, with exact timing to be shared later.
