Serenity Forge and HazeDenki have released Sister Other Paranoia, a dark psychological visual novel from creator nyalra, on Steam for $9.99.
The launch comes with a new trailer and marks the first release from Studio HazeDenki.
A Student With a Dangerous Gift
Sister Other Paranoia follows a literature-major university student with a synesthesia-like sensitivity that lets him see other people’s emotions as colors.
After his light novel wins an award, his ability grows until he can read the minds around him. What he finds pushes him further into isolation, leaving his younger sister as the one person he still clings to.
Choices Push Relationships Toward Dark Ends
Rather than telling a clean-cut story, Sister Other Paranoia places players inside the protagonist’s distorted view of others.
Player choices steer relationships toward different outcomes, many of them disturbing, while the story keeps guilt, judgment, and happiness in uneasy focus.
Retro Denpa Horror Style
The game uses a retro denpa horror style, with text that floods the screen and a tone built around paranoia, obsession, and emotional collapse.
Serenity Forge has published titles including Fractured Blooms, Slay the Princess, and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!, while HazeDenki makes its debut with Sister Other Paranoia.
