Wired Productions has announced a publishing partnership with WereBuff Studio for Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit, a Thai folklore horror adventure coming to PC in 2027.
The game will be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a playable Gamescom 2026 demo planned at the Indie Arena Booth.
Thai Folklore Meets Cinematic Horror
Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit follows Kumarn, a young child spirit, and Zeb, his loyal companion.
The two were once guardians of a village where humans and spirits lived in harmony. After a forbidden ritual tears them from their shrine, they must find a way home through forests, abandoned villages, and forgotten temples shaped by Thai folklore.
Hide, Run, and Survive
Kumarn centers on stealth, environmental puzzles, and tense platforming.
Players cannot fight the spirits hunting them. Instead, they need to stay hidden, distract threats, time their movements, and use a sacred lamp to open safe paths and avoid danger.
A New Horror Partnership
WereBuff Studio says Kumarn was created to bring Thai horror stories, beliefs, and folklore to a wider audience.
Wired Productions described the game as frightening, personal, and driven by a story with emotional weight, fitting the publisher’s focus on dark narrative games.
Playable at Gamescom 2026
Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit will be playable at Gamescom 2026 through the Indie Arena Booth.
The game is planned for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2027.
