Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has launched its Godzilla Pack, kicking off Year Two with three themed vehicles, a new course, and additional music. The DLC is available separately for $5.99 or as part of Season Pass Two.
Sega also announced a limited-time Godzilla festival running from November 5 at 4 p.m. PT through November 15 at 3:59 p.m. PT. Players can earn festival points toward rewards, including decals and gadgets.
Race Through the City While Dodging Godzilla
The pack’s Godzilla Escape course sends racers through a city while avoiding Godzilla’s blasts. You can tackle the track using three vehicles inspired by the monster franchise:
- Godzilla Cruiser
- King Ghidorah Coupe
- Mothra Surf
The crossover also adds three tracks to the Jukebox: “Godzilla Escape: Intro,” “Godzilla Escape,” and “Godzilla Escape: Final Lap.” These give players access to the course’s music outside the race itself.
The pack adds vehicles rather than announcing Godzilla, King Ghidorah, or Mothra as playable drivers. Its additions center on the machines, the escape course, and the accompanying soundtrack.
Online Races Remain Open to Players Without the DLC
You don’t need to own the Godzilla Pack to compete online against players using its vehicles. SEGA says players without the DLC can also race on Godzilla Escape online against the themed machines.
That keeps the new content from separating players into different online groups. Purchasing the pack gives you its vehicles and other included content, while non-owners can still encounter the crossover during online competition.
Godzilla Pack Included With Season Pass Two
Owners of the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition automatically receive the Godzilla Pack through Season Pass Two. Existing players can purchase the pass separately for $29.99, which also provides access to additional characters, vehicles, and courses.
The Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99 and includes the standard game and Season Pass Two. The standard edition starts at $39.99.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Godzilla Pack is out now, with the festival beginning November 5.
