Soulframe Open Preludes is now available to all Windows PC players, giving everyone free access to Digital Extremes’ fantasy adventure through the official website. Players can create an account, secure an Envoy name, and download the game without purchasing a Founder package.
The opening expands access to the Warframe developer’s sister project while development continues toward a wider public launch. Digital Extremes says community feedback will help guide further work on mounts, combat, and other features.
Become an Envoy and Restore Alca
In Soulframe, you play as an Envoy working to cleanse Alca of corruption. Reconnecting with nature includes redeeming corrupted Omen Beasts, rescuing captured wildlife, and raising an Omen Wolf as a mount companion.
Character development centers on Virtues that support combat, stealth, and magic techniques. You can collect and customize weapons and armor, then form Pacts with forgotten Ancestors to wield their abilities.
These options let you combine different approaches as you explore outdoor areas and enter dungeons. Parties support up to four players, giving friends room to bring complementary playstyles into the same adventure.
Open Preludes Remains Part of Ongoing Development
Creative director Geoff Crookes credited the existing Preludes community with helping the team reach this broader testing stage. He said Digital Extremes will continue refining features alongside players rather than treating Open Preludes as the finished release.
The current free download is available through the Soulframe website, while its Steam listing is open for wishlisting ahead of a wider PC launch.
Digital Extremes has also published a player FAQ covering Open Preludes for newcomers.
Founder Support Is Optional
Founder packages offer immediate access to special in-game Pacts and equipment, but you don’t need to buy one to join Open Preludes.
To begin, create an account through the official website. You can also consult the Open Preludes FAQ before downloading.
