The new Twisted Metal game will recieve a Mature rating when it releases October, as developer Eat Sleep Play are currently reworking the game to take advantage of the new rating. David Jaffe noted that the ESRB would not allow graphic live-action video for a T-rated game and rather than take away content, the studio embraced its M-rating status.
Other questions addressed revealed the game will not receive a public beta test but rather a private and semi-private beta. Jaffe also stated that Twisted Metal does not have a Collector’s Edition bundle and reinforced his decision to “keep it that way.” At the Comic-Con panel, David Jaffe showed off new weapon loadouts, special abilities, and a garage mechanic to allow players to switch cars while the damaged vehicle is being repaired.
