Japanese publisher GungHo Online Entertainment has acquired SUDA51’s development studio Grasshopper Manufacture, joining other talented in-house development studios at GOE that include Gravity, Game Arts, and Acquire.
According to GungHo Online Entertainment, Grasshopper Manufacture titles already in development will not be affected by the deal and will continue under current publishing terms. GungHo Online Entertainment is most famous for the MMORPG Ragnarok Online. Grasshopper joins a stable of talented game studios including “Ragnarok developer GRAVITY, Lunar and Grandia creator Game Arts, and Tenchu developer Acquire.”
Grasshopper Manufacture is known for killer7, the No More Heroes series, and most recently, Lollipop Chainsaw.
