Final Fantasy XV to Feature “Stand by Me” Cover by FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

Square Enix announced at their “Final Fantasy XV: Uncovered” event that Final Fantasy XV will feature a cover of the classic song “Stand by Me”. The cover is performed by FLORENCE + THE MACHINE, and is featured in the game’s newest trailer.

Florence from Florence + The Machine commented on the series and the song’s cover:

“I’ve always seen FINAL FANTASY as mythical, beautiful and epic. Stand by Me’ is one of the greatest songs probably of all time and you can’t really improve on it, you just have to make it your own. For me it was just about bringing the song into the world of Florence and the Machine and the world of FINAL FANTASY.”
