Remedy’s FBC: Firebreak Gears Up for June 17 Launch with New Trailer and Post-Launch Roadmap

The Oldest House is under siege, and Remedy’s newest title is sending in the Firebreakers. Today, Remedy Entertainment dropped a comprehensive Game Overview trailer for FBC: Firebreak, a three-player co-op FPS set in the mind-bending world of Control. Alongside a new look at gameplay and mission systems, the studio also revealed its post-launch content roadmap, giving players a peek into what’s coming in Fall and Winter 2025.

Suit Up, Step In

In Firebreak, players take on the role of elite agents sent into the paranatural chaos of the Oldest House to contain corrupted anomalies. Each run is a session-based mission called a Job, where players team up to survive rogue phenomena, shifting architecture, and unpredictable Corrupted Items. Between missions, players customize their loadouts and abilities with paranatural tools, offering flexibility for aggressive, tactical, or support-driven playstyles.

The game is deeply rooted in the Control universe but introduces its own flavor of tense, systemic co-op gameplay. Remedy calls Firebreak its “most replayable game yet,” and the trailer backs that up with footage of chaotic, layered missions and dynamic combat that responds to player strategy.

Post-Launch Roadmap: Free Content + Premium Style

Remedy also laid out its post-launch content roadmap, which includes two major updates:

  • Fall Update (“Outbreak”)
Adds a new Job, Jobsite (Research Sector), gameplay systems, enemies, and free, earnable rewards. Paid “Classified Requisitions” include exclusive cosmetics like armor sets, sprays, and voice packs.
  • Winter Update (“Blackout”)
Features another new Job and Jobsite, new gear and foes, more rewards, and premium unlocks.

Remedy emphasized that all future Jobs will be free — with optional cosmetic purchases and no FOMO-inducing content schedules. No daily logins, no rotating shops.

Editions and Pricing

  • Standard Edition – $39.99
Full base game with all free post-launch content.
  • Deluxe Edition – $49.99
Adds premium cosmetics including two themed voice packs (“Firestarter” and “Pencil Pusher”), a custom armor set, shotgun skin, and the Classified Requisition: Firestarter, which contains 36 unlockables.
  • Upgrade from Standard to Deluxe – $10.00

FBC: Firebreak launches June 17 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99, and will be available day one on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
