Publisher Headup and developers Simon Jakobsson and Aurora Punks have officially launched Vessels of Decay, a post-apocalyptic action-adventure steeped in Scandinavian myth, on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

Set in a handcrafted pixel world, Vessels of Decay invites players to explore a hauntingly beautiful landscape where the ruins of modern civilization give way to nature’s reclaim and supernatural forces. Follow the journey of Freja and Mud as they face off against fearsome beasts from Norse folklore in dynamic battles that let you choose your style of combat and execute flashy finishers that add flair and strategy to every encounter.

The game’s multi-phase boss fights promise tense, epic battles that test your reflexes and wits, while its atmospheric world blends melancholy exploration with heart-pounding action. Whether you’re a lover of retro aesthetics or a newcomer craving a fresh action-adventure, Vessels of Decay offers a unique Scandinavian spin on the genre.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic and customizable combat system
  • Unique finishers with brutal animations
