The world of Scott Pilgrim came crashing onto the Comic-Con stage as Tribute Games, Limited Run Games, and Universal Products & Experiences joined franchise creator Bryan Lee O’Malley to debut new gameplay and announce the physical editions of Scott Pilgrim EX, the upcoming beat-em-up revival arriving in early 2026.
During a packed San Diego Comic-Con panel, fans got a first look at gameplay from the opening of Scott’s newest side-scrolling adventure, showcasing classic Scott Pilgrim flair and high-energy action through pixelated Toronto. This time around, Scott and Ramona are chasing down stolen instruments, kicking their way through thugs, time travel, and the return of Ramona’s evil exes.
Joining the panel were Jean-François Major (Tribute Games), Yannick Belzil (Narrative Designer), Josh Fairhurst (Limited Run), and John Melchior (Universal). Blank Check podcast host Griffin Newman moderated, with a surprise appearance from Anamanaguchi’s Peter Berkman, who teased a brand-new track from the game’s all-new soundtrack.
