Anime-inspired roguelike shooter Steel Knight’s Armis has just dropped a brand-new demo on Steam, letting players experience the first two chapters ahead of its full release on October 8th. Developer Izanami Game Lab also confirmed the game will be showcased later this month at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Demo Available Now on Steam
The free demo, released September 9th, allows players to dive into the opening chapters of Steel Knight’s Armis. It introduces the core ensemble cast and lets players pilot their first Armis suits, Advanced Robotic Mechanized Interceptor System,s while facing off against waves of enemies and rival mecha pilots.
This sample also teases the dramatic story direction of the full release, hinting at the larger conflict between rebel forces, the Imperial military, and the Earth Federation.

Fans heading to Tokyo later this month can play Steel Knight’s Armis in full at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The game will be featured in the Indie Game Corner from September 25 to September 28.
