Digital Sun has announced that the Early Access release of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will now launch on November 19, 2025, instead of its original October 23 date.
A Delay for Breathing Room
The studio explained that the move comes not from development issues but rather to avoid the packed October release calendar. “Even the most precious gem can be overlooked in an overstuffed showcase,” the developers noted in their announcement, suggesting they want to give the game the spotlight it deserves.
Closed Playtests on the Way
While players will have to wait a little longer to dive into the dungeon-crawling shopkeeper sequel, Digital Sun revealed a small silver lining: Closed Playtests are planned for Steam and the Microsoft Store, giving fans a chance to test out the latest updates based on community feedback before Early Access officially launches. More details on the playtests are expected soon.
Prepare for Adventure
Moonlighter 2 builds on the acclaimed blend of action-RPG dungeon crawling and shopkeeping simulation that made the first game a hit, while expanding mechanics and adding new systems shaped by player input. With just a few more weeks until release, fans can use the time to sharpen their swords, restock shelves, and get ready for the next adventure in The Endless Vault.
