Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Releases New Trailer and Opens Pre-Orders

Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the next major entry in its beloved turn-based RPG series. Launching worldwide on March 13, 2026, the game will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

A brand-new trailer debuted alongside the announcement, offering a dramatic look at the growing tensions between the kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil, as the world teeters on the edge of collapse under the mysterious Crystal Encroachment.

A New Monster-Bonding Adventure Begins

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection follows a new protagonist as they set out to uncover the origins of the Crystal Encroachment, a phenomenon threatening to wipe out life across the land. Players will ride alongside new and familiar companions, including Ranger vice-captain Gaul and his Palico Murray, the walking Monsterpedia Ogden, and Kora, co-founder of the Rangers and ally to the protagonist’s mother, Amara.

The latest trailer also showcases a glimpse of the massive Elder Dragon Yama Tsukami, hinting at the scale of the threats that await players in this new world of shifting alliances, lost villages, and fading habitats.

Deluxe Editions, Pre-Order Bonuses, and More

Players who pre-order Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will receive Eleanor the Skyscale Queen’s “Apocalypse” Layered Armor, a regal new cosmetic outfit for companions that can be equipped once unlocked in-game.

The game will be available in three editions:

  • Standard Edition – Includes the base game ($69.99).
  • Deluxe Edition – Includes Rudy’s Tale, an additional side story arriving in Autumn 2026, plus the Special Outfit Set featuring layered armor, new hairstyles, and Rudy costume options ($89.99).
  • Premium Deluxe Edition – Contains all Deluxe Edition content plus an exclusive cosmetic DLC pack with more companion armor, hairstyles, and Rudy outfits ($99.99).

All cosmetic content will also be sold separately for collectors and completionists.

Catch Up on the Stories Saga

In preparation for Twisted Reflection, fans can revisit the first two adventures in the series as Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin head to Xbox One on November 14, 2025. Both titles will also be available as a discounted bundle across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, making this the perfect opportunity to experience the franchise’s evolution before the third installment’s release.
