Control Resonant Trailer Gives Release Window for Next Remedy Game

Remedy debuted the first Control Resonant trailer at tonight’s Game Awards, showing us what’s next for the surreal series.

This time around, players assume the role of Dylan Faden — the sibling of Control protagonist Jesse. The upcoming title is described as a third-person, open-ended action-RPG that takes place in a “paranaturally ravaged” version of Manhattan. Surprisingly, a release window for the game was also given, with the title set to release in 2026.

You can take a gander at the Control Resonant reveal trailer on YouTube below:

What is Control Resonant about?

“The first game told Jesse Faden’s story – her search for her missing brother Dylan inside the Federal Bureau of Control’s mysterious headquarters, the Oldest House. Resonant is Dylan’s story – the other half of that sibling tale,” the PlayStation Blog post about the game states. “After years in confinement, Dylan is now being deployed by his former captors at the height of a supernatural crisis. The Federal Bureau of Control is struggling to contain a world-ending threat as Manhattan becomes the new battleground – a warped city where cosmic forces twist reality, bend gravity, and reshape the skyline into something unrecognizable. Dylan isn’t just fighting to save the world. He’s searching for redemption – and for Jesse – while trying to understand his own dangerous connection to the chaos consuming the city.”
