Gang of Dragon Trailer Previews Latest Game From Yakuza Creator

Nagoshi Studio revealed the first Gang of Dragon trailer at the Video Game Awards, previewing the next title from Yakuza/Like a Dragon creator Toshihiro Nagoshi.

The trailer immediately feels familiar to fans of the iconic Sega franchise, with a suit-wearing man being stabbed on the streets of Japan. A time jump then shows the attacked man in a bar on the phone, followed by a brawl between himself and several Yakuza members. Finally, he leaves the bar and walks down the street, with the camera then showing the entrance to the iconic Kabukichō district of Japan.

What was that sign at the end of the Gang of Dragon trailer?

The Kabukichō sign probably rang bells for Yakuza fans, as that district inspired the memorable Kamurocho district that has appeared in so many Yakuza/Like a Dragon games.  It seems that Kabukichō itself, or another area similarly based on it, will be part of Gang of Dragon.
