Snowbreak: Containment Zone Celebrates 2.5-Year Anniversary With Back From Bygone Update

Snowbreak: Containment Zone is celebrating its 2.5-year anniversary with a major new update titled Back From Bygone, launching January 29, 2026, on PC and mobile. Amazing Seasun Games says the update is one of the game’s largest milestones so far, bringing back the Covenant system, adding new operatives, and expanding the story and social spaces.

Snowbreak: Containment Zone is free-to-play and available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PC, iOS, and Android, with full cross-platform support.

Covenant System Returns for the Anniversary

The headline feature of the Back From Bygone update is the return of Covenant, Snowbreak’s anniversary-exclusive system built around long-term narrative bonds between the player, known as the Adjutant, and select operatives.

Unlike typical relationship mechanics, Covenant is treated as a canon part of Snowbreak’s story. Establishing a Covenant represents a lifelong commitment that becomes part of both the operative’s arc and the broader narrative. The system unlocks dedicated story quests, exclusive outfits, and fully realized 3D interactive scenes, including ceremonial anniversary moments.

Covenant only appears during major milestone updates, making its return a key part of Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s 2.5-year celebration.

Snowbreak 3.5 Acacia Chrono Echo

New Operatives Join the Roster

Two featured operatives arrive with Back From Bygone.

Acacia – Chrono Echo introduces dual-form combat visuals and abilities that alter her movement and appearance during battle, giving her a distinct presence on the field.

Marian – Aquila will be available for free through the update’s progression simply by logging in. She fills a support role, focusing on tactical synergy and battlefield control.

Both characters are integrated into the anniversary story content, with more gameplay details planned closer to launch.

Snowbreak 3.5 New Main Story

New Story Chapter and Boss Encounter

The update adds Back From Bygone as a new main story chapter, revisiting unresolved threads while pushing the central conflict forward. The chapter blends character-focused storytelling with new combat scenarios tied directly to the anniversary themes.

Players will also face Apate, a newly introduced boss whose arrival marks a major turning point in the ongoing narrative.

Snowbreak 3.5 Arcaverse

Arcaverse Expands Non-Combat Spaces

Alongside story content, Back From Bygone introduces Arcaverse, a new base area designed to expand what players can do outside of combat. Arcaverse offers interactive activities and social experiences, adding more depth to Snowbreak’s hub areas during the anniversary period.
