Mightreya Demo Now Available on Steam Ahead of Next Fest

505 Games has officially released a playable demo for Mightreya, the upcoming anime-inspired hero action game developed by solo Japanese creator Wazen K. The demo is available now on Steam, just in time for the game’s participation in the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

After years of development led entirely by Wazen, global players can finally get their first hands-on experience with the high-speed action adventure ahead of its planned Q2 2026 release.

High-Speed Aerial Combat in Modern-Day Japan

The Mightreya demo offers a focused slice of the game’s stylish combat system. Players can engage in fast-paced aerial battles, chaining together powerful attacks and unleashing flashy combos against creatures invading from another dimension.

Set in everyday Japan, the full game allows players to explore city streets, leap between buildings, and take to the skies to battle towering monsters. The demo highlights this fluid mobility, giving players a taste of the dynamic movement and anime-inspired spectacle that define the experience.

Combat emphasizes speed, verticality, and combo-driven encounters, with over 30 planned moves and attacks in the full release. The final game will feature 24 enemy types, including boss encounters, and multiple weapon options, three primary weapons plus a special “Alpha” weapon.

Meet Reya and the Cast

Players will also be introduced to the game’s vibrant cast of characters. The stylish protagonist Reya takes center stage, joined by her manager Nio and other key figures, in what 505 Games describes as a cheerful, energetic “hero streamer” story.

A newly released trailer showcases updated development footage and introductions to the anime-inspired cast, offering a deeper look at the project’s characters and tone.

The full release will include professional Japanese voice acting alongside multilingual text localization, further emphasizing its anime roots and global ambitions.
