Arc Games and Thekla have announced that Order of the Sinking Star will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. The massive puzzle adventure from Jonathan Blow, creator of Braid and The Witness, is also coming to Steam with Steam Deck support.
The announcement included a new overview trailer showcasing the game’s world, puzzle systems, and exploration structure.
A Massive Puzzle Adventure With More Than 1,000 Challenges
Order of the Sinking Star features more than 1,000 handcrafted puzzles spread across four distinct worlds. Each world has its own mechanics, characters, dangers, and stories, with puzzle systems beginning to connect as the worlds collide.
Players can explore at their own pace, leave puzzles behind, return later, and approach challenges in different orders.
Multiple Heroes and Interlocking Worlds
The game features several playable characters, including a queen, a thief, a warrior, a wizard, and a talking boat. Each character brings different abilities to the story and puzzle-solving structure.
As these characters meet and their worlds overlap, the game’s systems begin to merge, creating new puzzle possibilities and story connections.
Coming Later This Year
Order of the Sinking Star launches later this year for Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam.
