Rockstar Games has announced Max Payne’s return to form will appear on May 15, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PS3 in North America. For everyone else, May 18. For PC owners, a little later beginning May 29, 2012 (June 1 internationally).
Max Payne 3 goes from the streets of New Yorks to the shady slums of São Paulo, Brazil. Driven to work for a protection agency for the wealthy Rodrigo Branco, Max hopes to escape the memories of his past. When Rodrigo’s wife is kidnapped, Max is thrown into a web of conspiracy of warring factions that will inevitably take everyone along with him.
Max Payne 3 also features online multiplayer that explores all new multiplayer modes that derive on themes of paranoia, betrayal and heroism. In light of this announcement, Rockstar has extended the once limited preorder incentive to April 2, 2012. More details on the Special Edition offer here.
