Street Fighter V to Feature Compelling Story

Capcom has announced that the upcoming Street Fighter V  will have a deeper and more robust story than previous Street Fighter games. The game will feature individual character stories that are said to provide important background information for each character, such as their role in the story, and their relationships with other characters. Each character story will also let players earn “Fight Money”, to purchase new characters and other items.

The plotlines will serve as a prologue to Street Fighter V‘s upcoming “cinematic story expansion”, a free update that will be released this June.  The story will take place between Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, filling in the events that occur in between the two games.

It has also been announced that Street Figher V‘s final beta will take place from January 30th to the 31st.

Street Fighter V will be released for the PS4 and PC on February 16th. For more information, check out the trailer above.
