Announced to celebrate the anime’s 35th anniversary, the game is currently in development for all major platforms and features a faithful recreation of the show’s iconic cel animation style.

A Nostalgic Comeback

The original anime, Kyatto Ninden Teyandee, first aired in Japan on February 1, 1990, before gaining a cult following worldwide as Samurai Pizza Cats. The action-comedy series, set in the futuristic city of Edoropolis, follows the adventures of robotic feline warriors who protect their home while running a pizza shop.

2D Action RPG Gameplay

Developed by Dutch studio BLAST ZERO (Jitsu Squad), with publishing handled by Red Dunes Games, Blast from the Past is a 2D action RPG that lets players control the Pizza Cats, switching between characters to utilize their unique abilities in battle and puzzle-solving.
