Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Program to be Modified

Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal have announced that in response to a great deal of negative feedback, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s “Augment Your Pre-Order” program will be modified. Originally conceived as way for players to pick their own pre-order content, the program received a large amount of negative criticism from the game’s fan community. David Anfossi, Studio Head at Eidos-Montréal commented:

“We really understand and appreciate the passion for Deus Ex that the fans have shown here. Know that all of us, both at Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal, share that passion for this franchise.”

The release date will no longer be changed depending on the number of pre-orders the game gets, meaning the game will be available for purchase for everyone on February 23rd.
