Wargaming has released the first lore trailer in its Hunter Stories series for Steel Hunters, its upcoming free-to-play mech-hero shooter blending Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics. This debut episode spotlights Razorside, a towering war machine with a past steeped in sacrifice, as the series explores the tragic origins of each Hunter before they became the armored titans of the Hunting Grounds.
Meet Razorside: From Soldier to Steel
Standing 8.2 meters tall and weighing 55 tons, Razorside is a walking fortress of destruction, built for precision and overwhelming firepower. But beneath the metal exterior was once Jason Miller Jr., a decorated U.S. Marine.
Miller led countless missions to aid survivors of the apocalyptic May Day Omega, until corporate forces captured and subjected him to the Hunter Genesis—a brutal transformation fusing his mind and will into the body of a Hunter. Now, as Razorside, he fights with the instincts of a soldier and the power of a war machine, his mission unchanged but his battlefield forever altered.
More Hunter Stories on the Way
The Hunter Stories series will continue to unveil the grim backstories of each Steel Hunters mech, giving players a closer look at the warriors battling for survival in this war-torn future.
Steel Hunters is coming soon to PC via Steam, where players will command powerful Hunters in strategic PvPvE combat—fighting rivals, collecting Starfall, and turning enemies into scrap in the wastelands of an abandoned Earth.
