Kumori Joins the Fight in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound’s Brutal New Trailer

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound just sharpened its edge. Dotemu and The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous) have dropped a brand new gameplay trailer introducing Kumori, the second playable protagonist in the upcoming 2D action platformer inspired by the classic Ninja Gaiden trilogy.

The footage shows off Kumori’s ruthless style as a member of the infamous Black Spider Clan, favoring modern weaponry, demonic energy, and a win-at-all-costs attitude over ninja tradition. She’s not just a shadowy assassin—she’s a full-on demon-slaying powerhouse with a deeply personal stake in the battle to come.

A New Chapter of Ninja Gaiden Begins

Set after the events of the original NES Ninja Gaiden, Ragebound throws players into a world where the veil between the human and demon realms has torn open. While Ryu Hayabusa seeks vengeance, a new generation rises: Kenji Mozu, a young Hayabusa ninja, and Kumori, a rogue from the enemy clan.

Bound by a shared fate and a deadly “Ninja Fusion” ability, the two must put aside their blood feud to survive what’s coming. Expect tight platforming, relentless action, and massive boss fights, all wrapped in lovingly animated pixel art and a banger of a soundtrack.

What to Expect in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

  • Two protagonists: Kenji and Kumori, each with unique playstyles
  • Seamless “Ninja Fusion” ability switching
  • Brutal boss encounters and fast-paced platforming
  • Gorgeous pixel art inspired by classic Ninja Gaiden
  • Unlockables, collectibles, and hidden missions for replay value
  • Launching Summer 2025 on PC, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One
