The fur-tastic mascot’s full retro lineup will be pouncing onto modern platforms soon.
Atari and Limited Run Games have announced the complete lineup of games included in Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection, the upcoming playable archive celebrating the long and colorful history of the world’s most divisive bobcat mascot.
Developed using Limited Run’s Carbon Engine, The Purrfect Collection includes eight classic Bubsy titles across multiple generations and platforms. The bundle is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Here’s what’s included:
- Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Super Famicom)
- Bubsy II (Game Boy, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo)
- Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales (Atari Jaguar)
- Bubsy 3D (PlayStation)
In addition to the games, the collection will feature behind-the-scenes development materials, historical artifacts, and interviews with the creators. Each title has been upgraded with quality-of-life improvements while staying true to Bubsy’s classic (and occasionally chaotic) platforming roots.
“Here we go again!” declared Bubsy himself in the press release. “Hold onto your whiskers and get ready for a glide down memory lane, polished and pampered for your playing pleasure. What could possibly go wrong?”
The announcement didn’t include a release date, but The Purrfect Collection is listed as “coming soon.” You can wishlist the game now on Steam.
