Anno 117: Pax Romana will receive its first gameplay DLC, Prophecies of Ash, on April 23, Ubisoft announced during the latest Anno Day livestream.
Developed by Ubisoft Mainz, the DLC will be available on Ubisoft Connect, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It marks the first major content update for the city-building strategy game and introduces a new island, new resources, and new systems for players to manage.
New island, deity, and volcano headline the update
Prophecies of Ash adds Cinis, described as the largest island in the history of the Anno series. The island is home to an active volcano, creating a new threat for players to contend with while expanding and governing their empire.
The DLC also introduces a new deity to worship, a new resource called obsidian, and a trader named Ceacilia. Ubisoft says these additions are meant to expand player options while also increasing the strategic pressure that comes with managing a growing Roman settlement.
Friend referral event now live
Alongside the DLC announcement, Ubisoft also launched a friend referral program running from April 9 through May 12. Players can earn Fame Points by referring others to the game, with one referral granting 30 points, two referrals granting 50 points, and three referrals unlocking 90 points.
Those points can be used in the in-game Hall of Fame to unlock cosmetics, music tracks, and other rewards.
DLC pricing and Year 1 Pass details
Prophecies of Ash will be available as a standalone purchase for $12. It is also included in the game’s Year 1 Pass, which costs $35 and covers all three planned 2026 gameplay DLC releases.
In addition to Prophecies of Ash in April, the pass also includes The Hippodrome in August and Dawn of the Delta in November.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, GeForce Now, and Windows PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.
