Kwalee and Galaxy Grove have announced that Town to City will leave Early Access and launch into 1.0 on May 26, 2026. The full launch will arrive alongside the game’s major Tourism Update, adding new systems, buildings, quests, and quality-of-life improvements.
The cozy city builder first entered Early Access in September 2025 and currently holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam.
Tourism Comes to Town to City
The Tourism Update introduces new mechanics that let players build hotels and plan tour routes between landmarks. Players can create everything from boutique stays to luxury resorts as they turn their towns into travel destinations.
The update also adds a new town, new quests and jobs, improved townsfolk animations, bug fixes, and other quality-of-life changes.
A Gridless Cozy City Builder
Town to City lets players build settlements without a grid, placing homes, shops, parks, plazas, decorations, and natural features freely. As towns grow, players can manage residents, assign jobs, research new buildings, and connect multiple towns through trade and travel routes.
The game includes both Campaign and Sandbox modes, along with photo mode, voxel visuals, and a relaxed soundtrack.
