Meadgard has released its first public Steam demo ahead of an Early Access launch on November 5, 2026. Developer Oddiko’s tavern-sim and action hybrid lets you play solo or with up to three friends, gather ingredients, and serve customers under the watchful eyes of hungry Norse gods.
The announcement follows two playtests and more than 44,000 wishlists, according to the team.
Raid for Ingredients, Then Survive the Dinner Rush
Odin needs a feast, and you’ve been assigned to cater it. Armed with pans, maces, and fish, your group ventures into the wilderness to collect ingredients and haul supplies back to its longship.
Expeditions include giant trolls, throwable eggs, exploding mushrooms, and Æsir trials that can earn divine blessings.
Back in town, the work shifts to preparing food and serving demanding patrons. Loot goblins threaten your supplies, while visiting gods expect full plates and drinks. Disappoint them, and you’ll face their particular brand of wrath.
Build Your Tavern and Prepare for the Next Outing
Earnings let you improve a rundown rest stop, gain crafting recipes, and develop a more welcoming destination.
NPCs bring upgrades to purchase and personal stories to follow. Growing crops and brewing potions also help prepare your group for tougher encounters outside town.
Oddiko says Early Access will give the team time to act on playtest feedback and develop the game alongside its community.
