New Trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard Shown at the State of Play

BioWare revealed a new trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard at tonight’s State of Play, this time showcasing a battle against a dragon. The 4-minute trailer shows the player character, Rook, fighting alongside companions Taash and Lucanis to take on the dangerous foe. In this video, the player is a mage, and it demonstrates both the fast-paced action and strategic combos set up through the ability wheel.

For example, the player has Lucanis inflict the “Sundered” status on the enemy, which Rook then follows up with “Dark Squall” for a powerful combination effect. A deep dive into the battle strategy seen here is also available at the PlayStation Blog.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is due out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 31.
