Arc Games and Snapshot Games have revealed new details about Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids, the upcoming action-strategy hybrid from X-COM creator Julian Gollop. The studio announced a Friends Pass feature and full cross-platform play for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, ensuring that teaming up with friends will be easier than ever.
Friend’s Pass will allow anyone who owns the game to invite a friend to play the full campaign in online co-op or battle across all PvP maps at launch, even if the second player doesn’t own the game. Friend’s Pass holders will also have access to the first four single-player levels for free to learn the basics before jumping into multiplayer.
The announcement came alongside a brand-new Multiplayer Overview trailer, which breaks down the game’s different competitive and cooperative modes. Fans can expect 1v1 and 2v2 PvP battles (online and offline), two-player couch co-op, and online co-op for the full story campaign. Crossplay support ensures players across all platforms can squad up or face off without restriction.
